HTML forms and input elements

HTML forms and input elements allow users to interact with a web page by submitting data to a server. Forms can be used for a wide range of purposes, such as login forms, contact forms, surveys, and e-commerce checkout forms.

  • Forms

HTML forms are created using the <form> element. The action attribute specifies the URL of the script that processes the form data, and the method attribute specifies the HTTP method to use (usually GET or POST).

Forms can contain a variety of input elements, such as text inputs, checkboxes, radio buttons, select menus, and buttons.
